Open your profile menu, then Settings → Account → Security. Choose the setting you want to manage.
Email
Your account email is used for sign-in, account notices, and password recovery. Open Email, choose Change, enter your new address, and select Send verification. Your current address stays active until you complete confirmation.
If you do not have an account email, use Add email and finish verification. If the app asks you to sign in again, complete that step and return to the change.
Reset password sends a reset link to your current account email. Requesting the link does not itself change your password. Follow the instructions in the email.
Password
Open Password to change an existing password. Enter your current password, your new password, and the same new password again. Choose Change password. The new password must be different and use 15–128 characters; the app may reject a password that fails its security checks.
A successful change ends other sign-in sessions and refreshes this browser. If the app reports an error, do not assume the change completed.
If your account has no password, Set password opens the password-setup flow using your verified email.
Passkeys
A passkey lets your device or password manager confirm a sign-in. Open Passkeys, choose Add, and follow the browser or device prompt. The prompt may use your device unlock method or a security key.
Wait for Passkey added. The list distinguishes synced passkeys from device-bound passkeys and shows when each was last used. The availability of a passkey on another device depends on where you saved it.
To remove one, use its remove control. It can no longer verify your Anistratenco account after removal. Keep another working sign-in or recovery method before removing a method you rely on.
Authenticator app
- Open Authenticator and choose Add.
- Scan the setup QR code with your authenticator app. If needed, enter the displayed setup key in that app instead.
- Enter its current six-digit code in Anistratenco.
- Choose Confirm app and wait for confirmation.
Scanning alone does not finish setup. After confirmation, the authenticator can supply the rotating code used for account verification. Keep its setup key private.
Use the remove control beside an enrolled authenticator to remove it from your account. This does not remove the entry from your separate authenticator app.
Verify to continue
Sensitive account changes may show Verify to continue. Use an existing passkey, enter a current authenticator code, or follow the recent-sign-in instructions offered for your account.
Complete verification, then return to the action you were making. Never send a password, setup QR code, or recovery key to someone claiming they need it to help you.
Save an account recovery kit
Open Account recovery. A kit contains a vault recovery key and one-use recovery codes. It is not a backup copy of all your chats and files.
If you have not added a sign-in factor, set up a passkey or authenticator first. Use the dedicated Passkeys or Authenticator section to finish enrollment, then return to Account recovery.
Choose Create kit when available. New recovery material may also be created when you add your first factor. Follow the on-screen setup state:
- Finish recovery setup: keep the page open and choose Retry activation. Do not rely on this kit until activation succeeds.
- Save this recovery kit now: use Download or Copy, and store the values somewhere private that you can access if you lose this device.
- I saved it: dismisses the displayed values. It does not save a copy for you.
- Verify kit: when shown, enter the vault recovery key from your saved copy to verify it. Check for the configured status afterward.
Recovery values are shown once. Anyone with them may be able to recover your account. Do not put them in a support message, public feedback post, or chat attachment.
Replace a recovery kit
Choose Replace kit to create new recovery material. Once the replacement is activated, the old kit is revoked. Save and verify the new kit, and do not keep relying on the old one.
Recovery restores access under specific conditions; it does not recreate information that was deleted or never synchronized. For local backups and data exports, see Data, backups, and deletion.
If you cannot finish a security change
Read the error shown in the app. For help, use Contact us. Describe the step that failed and include a support reference if one is shown—but never include your password, current authenticator code, setup secret, or recovery kit.
