# Get started

> Find your way around the Health Assistant, start a conversation, and open your settings.

## Open the workspace

[Open Anistratenco](https://anistratenco.com/chat) and sign in if prompted. On a narrow window, choose **Expand sidebar** to reveal navigation.

* **New chat** starts a separate conversation.
* **History** lets you return to conversations. **See all** opens more history.
* **Projects** groups work; choose **Create project** to open the project-creation flow.
* **Apps** is the entry point for available integrations. A listed integration is not connected until its connection flow succeeds.
* **Chat** and **Health** switch the main workspace view.

## Start a conversation

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose New chat">
    Keep unrelated questions in separate conversations so the context stays clear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write in Chat message">
    Explain your goal, the context that matters, and the kind of response you want. For example: “Help me prepare questions for my appointment. Organize them into a short checklist.”
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Send message">
    Review the response. Ask follow-up questions, correct inaccurate assumptions, and check important claims against their sources.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Use **Add attachment** to open the available attachment choices. Use **Record voice** to start the voice-input flow; your browser may require microphone access. Check the transcribed text, especially names, numbers, and medication details, before relying on it.

## Work with a response

Message controls include **Copy** and **Continue in new chat**. Your own messages also have **Edit** and **Delete**. Assistant messages expose **Read aloud**. Available controls can vary with the message state.

If a response fails, preserve the displayed reference ID. **Share feedback about this error** is the recovery entry point when it appears. Do not repeatedly resend a request that could cause an external action until you know whether that action already occurred.

## Find your settings

1. Expand the sidebar if it is collapsed.
2. Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
3. Choose **Settings**.
4. Select a section or use **Search settings…**.

## Change how the workspace looks

In **Settings → Appearance**, choose **Light**, **Dark**, or **Automatic**. Automatic follows your system appearance.

Choose an accent, or open **Custom accent color**. Adjust **Font size**, **Contrast**, and **Control size** for readability. **Reduce motion** limits motion effects. **Reset appearance** returns appearance settings to their defaults; use it only when you want to reset your customizations.

## Set up voice input

In **Settings → Voice**:

* Review **Voice mode** and select the **Microphone** you want to use.
* Use **Test** to check microphone access when you are ready to grant access.
* Add terms under **Transcription dictionary** for words you commonly dictate.
* **Clean up transcripts** is described as fixing punctuation and grammar without changing medical details. Still review the result.
* **Read responses aloud** controls automatic response audio. Individual assistant messages also offer **Read aloud**.

Do not assume transcription is exact. Double-check dates, dosages, measurements, and names.

## Understand data actions before using them

In **Settings → Data**, **Files in your account → Open** opens the file area. **Export JSON** is listed under **Local backup**, while **Download account data** is a separate control. Do not assume a local backup is a complete export of all server-held information.

**Choose JSON** is the local restore entry point. **Clear cache** is separate from deleting chats or deleting your account. Read the confirmation and scope of any deletion or reset action before continuing. Keep backups private because they may contain sensitive information.

## Get help

For a product issue, [contact us](https://anistratenco.com/contact) and choose **Report a bug**. Include what you tried, what you expected, what happened, and an error reference if one was shown. Redact private information from screenshots.
